Egils Bogdanovics, MD Endocrinology and Diabetes
Dr. Bogdanovics is Medical Director of the Hungerford Diabetes Center, joining the staff at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in 2000. A 1988 graduate of St. Georges University, he served his residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury and Fellow in Endocrinology at the University of Connecticut. A member of American College of Physicians, American College of Clinical Endocrinologists and Connecticut Endocrine Society, Fellow of American College of Endocrinology and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association, CT Affiliate. In addition, Dr. Bogdanovics holds certifications from American Board of Internal Medicine both as a Diplomate and as a Diplomate with a Subspecialty of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. |

Lois Pelletier, RN, CDE
Ms. Pelletier is the Program Coordinator of the Hungerford Diabetes Center since 2002. She joined the staff at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in 1999 as Diabetes Program Manager and also has served as Education Coordinator of the Joslin Diabetes Center affiliate at CHH. A Certified Diabetes Educator for over 20 years, Lois is a published lecturer, researcher, consultant, and educator at several medical organizations such as The University of Connecticut Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Yale New Haven Hospital and Connecticut Children's Medical Center. In addition, Lois is an active member of professional organizations such as American Association of Diabetes Educators, American Diabetes Association, Connecticut Association of Diabetes Educators - as president in 2000 - 2001 and current board member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) - North-Central-CT-Western-MA Chapter. |

Christine Pinette, APRN, CDE

Glenell Morris, RD
Glenell joined the Hungerford Diabetes Center team in May of 2004. She is a Registered Dietitian and holds a bachelors degree in Dietetics from the University of Connecticut. Glenell is also certified in Adult Weight Management and heads up a weight loss series at the Hungerford Center. She is a member of the American Dietetics Association and is currently working towards her certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator. |

Karen R. Rubin, MD Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes
Dr. Rubin has been affiliated with the Hungerford Diabetes Center since 2000. An Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Dr. Rubin is a 1978 graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Residency and Internship at University of Miami in Pediatrics led to a Fellowship at University of Connecticut in Pediatric Endocrinology as well as Board Certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. Dr. Rubin is currently Director of the Connecticut Program for Children with Diabetes at Connecticut Children's Medical Center. |
